The aim is for SPPA to become an independent charity, serviced by a Board of Trustees and an operational team.
The development of SPPA as an independent charity is being nurtured by grants from three funders, KPMG Foundation, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Comic Relief until April 2019.
During the development phase a charity will be formed and assume full responsibility for SPPA. The foundations of SPPA are being developed by an operational core group composed of three partners: Centre for the Understanding of Social Pedagogy (CUSP) based at the Thomas Coram Research Unit (TCRU) of the UCL Institute of Education, ThemPra and Jacaranda. Their work is guided by a Steering Group composed of representatives from the funders, and from each of the four nations of the United Kingdom.
